Minglewood Hall

Posted on Thursday, March 5, 2009 in Jeff Milton's Work

I recently installed new SSL certificate on Apache web server, wrote a mod_rewrite, and worked with Ticket Biscuit to Secure converging pages in both our content management system and the ticket purchasing system. I’m a big advocate for server and site security and was happy to help out with this project.

MingleWood Hall

Minglewood Hall is a new venue opening soon in Midtown Memphis. Located inside the beautifully renovated building at 1555 Madison Avenue, The Hall offers a wide variety of possibilities for any event.

Posted on Tuesday, September 9, 2008 in Jeff Milton's Work

Launched ArtsMemphis Store, an eCommerce initiative utilizing the Magento commerce platform. Store uses a custom SSL certificate and dedicated IP address on a locked down commerce centric server. The ArtsMemphis Store logo is new and was extended from existing brand.

ArtsMemphis exists to nurture this unique character and to magnify the city’s creative voice. We are a 45-year-old arts funding organization (the sixth largest in the United States), which provides operating and project support to 27 arts groups. The ArtsMemphis tagline is “your support matters” and indeed it does. As major fundraisers, grant-makers and arts promoters in the city, ArtsMemphis contributed more than $4 million to the Memphis arts community in 2007, and it is a fact that 95 cents of every dollar raised in our annual campaign is directed to our funded organizations.

Gamerz Depot Newspaper Advertisement

Our owners have over 60 years of combined gaming experience. Added to this are the hundreds of years of experience our staff and reviewers … and gamerz like you … bring. We were gaming when the only dice were six-sided and long before video games were created. Yes, we have been gamerz that long! It has always been our desire to operate a game store … one where gamerz could afford the games and accessories they want.

Lifesigns : Logo Design

Posted on Tuesday, September 9, 2008 in Jeff Milton's Work

Last week I had a meeting with Lifesigns. Lifesigns was a customer of mine nearly a decade ago. They have been bought and sold a couple times in that ten year period. What remains constant is the logo I designed, which they still use today.

Lifesigns is the leading multi-site provider of comprehensive, physician-managed physical examinations in the United States with a prevention mission that extends beyond clinics to lifestyle counseling and worksite coaching. Lifesigns partners with employers to provide onsite screening at the workplace and continuing support to manage identified risk factors through ongoing onsite wellness coaching.

Moved data from one content management system to another and worked with state officials on complete redesign.

Kansas State Conservation Commission

The State Conservation Commission (SCC), working with the 105 local conservation districts, the 88 organized watershed districts, other special purpose districts, and state and federal entities administer programs to improve water quality, reduce soil erosion, conserve water, reduce flood potential, and provide local water supply.  The SCC has the responsibility to administer the Conservation Districts Law, the Watershed District Act and other statutes authorizing various programs.  The agency budget is financed from the dedicated funding of the Kansas State Water Plan Special Revenue Fund, State General Fund, and fee funds.
